Daily tracking - 26 Nov 2009

Eating was ok today.

Meals:

  • Meal 1: 100 grams yogurt with a banana
  • Meal 2: banana
  • Meal 3: 200 grams yogurt with tuna cakes
  • Meal 4: apple
  • Meal 5: mutton curry with naan
  • Meal 6: mini chocolate
No exercise, once again.

I will start weighing daily from next week - 1 Dec 2009.

Felt a bit depressed again, but Aunty Flo is almost on her way out so my mood is sure to improve!

Meals:

  • Meal 1: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  • Meal 2: Banana
  • Meal 3: Yogurt and wholewheat biscuits
  • Meal 4: Apple
  • Meal 5: Sausage, potato and cherry tomatoes served with bread
  • Meal 6: Coke and 2 bites of chocolate.
Again, no exercise.

I think I should start weighing daily again, I was definitely doing much better while doing that.

My mood was much better today, not that blackness that threatened to take everything over.

Eating was ok:

  • Meal 3: Nofat yogurt with wholewheat biscuits
  • Meal 4: Apple
  • Meal 5: Burger and chips with coke:-(((
  • Meal 6:  Custard and jelly
No exercise again!

Daily tracking - 23 Nov 2009

I was totally depressed the whole day - PMS, but it felt horrible. Nothing made me smile, nothing made me feel good.

Meals:

  • Meal 1: Cornmeal Tart
  • Meal 2: Banana
  • Meal 3: Cornmeal Tart and apple
  • Meal 4: Mini chocolate
  • Meal 5: Chicken Pallao
  • Meal 6: Jelly and custard.
My new neighbour could become problemsome. She keeps on sending me desserts and food! I don't make desserts since I am not supposed to eat it, but when it just keeps coming the temptation levels skyrocket! I also had two cans of cola.

No exercise again - work is just too hectic.

I weighed in at 192.28 pounds, down 2.2 pounds! So, last week was probably just water weight. I kind of lost track of my menstrual cycle and it started during the week. What a relief!

It is still freezingly cold here. Snowing on the mountains.

Today didn't go too badly.

Meals:

  • Meal 1: Low GI toast
  • Meal 2: Wholewheat biscuits
  • Meal 3: Peanut butter low GI sandwich
  • Meal 4: Nothing
  • Meal 4: Lentil soup with mutton and Indian bread
  • Meal 5: small chocolate
Once again no exercise. I am just too cold to drag myself to the gym.

Another icy day - another day I didn't plan my meals very well.

I have been having so much on my mind that I find it difficult to focus.

Meals:

  • Meal 1: bran cereal with nofat milk
  • Meal 2: Sausage and chicken
  • Meal 3: Apple
  • Meal 4: skipped
  • Meal 5: 2 baked eggs with tomato and onion, 2 slices of low GI bread
  • Meal 6: Way too much chocolate and small packet of potato chips
Once again - no exercise!

All of a sudden, in the middle of winter, there is a snow storm in my country and temperatures dropped several degrees overnight.

No one feels like exercising and everyone wants nice food.

Meals for the day:

  • Meal 1: 2 slices of low GI toast
  • Meal 2: Apple
  • Meal 3: Wholewheat biscuits
  • Meal 4: Apple
  • Meal 5: Sausage, chicken, corn and spinach.
  • Meal 6: 2 small chocolates.
No exercise!

One big mistake I make almost every week is not planning my meals for the week. If I sit down each evening and plan my meals for the next day I do so much better!

For the past 2 weeks I have not been planning properly. So what happens? I get up in the morning, grab whatever I can for work and end up starving by the end of my work-day. Then I overeat when I get home.

Yesterday was the same.

Meals:

  • Meal 1: Flapjacks
  • Meal 2: Apple with peanut butter
  • Meal 3: salad
  • Meal 4: Skipped
  • Meal 5: Potato chips with sausage
  • Meal 6: Chocolate
So unbalanced and unhealthy. Not enough protein and not enough veggies.

No exercise!

  • Meal 3: Strawberries and wholewheat biscuits
  • Meal 4: Wholewheat biscuits
  • Meal 5: Mashed potato and chicken
  • Meal 6: Left-over chicken
I didn't go to the gym - was on a seminar the whole day.

I am not focused at all. I have a major decision to make regarding my future. I want to study further next year - MBA or CFA or Masters in Economics and I just cannot get myself to decide!!! And it is bugging me so much I cannot sleep, I cannot focus on eating right or exercising.

  • Meal 5: Scrambled egg, cold meat and corn

No exercise again. I am getting lazy!

No gymming today, had to go get my stitches out.

Attended a seminar today. Eating went quite well.

Meals:

  • Meal 1: Soy smoothie with wholewheat biscuits
  • Meal 2: Low-GI sandwich with egg mayo
  • Meal 3: Low-GI sandwich with egg mayo
  • Meal 4: Skipped
  • Meal 5: Roast chicken, cauliflower and salad
  • Meal 6: 2 mini chocolates
I even got to the gym today! I had a nice workout on the treadmill for 20 minutes!

I feel good about today!

Meal 2: Apple and coke (I know it is not healthy, a friend gave me one)
Meal 3: Peanut butter sandwich
Meal 4: Banana
Meal 5: Baked beans, egg, squash and roti
Meal 6: Potato chips (I had cravings).


No exercise again! I wish my stitches can come out!!!

Eating was not as good as on Monday. Not enough protein eaten with meals 2 and 6. Meal 5 very unhealthy. Due to meetings at work had to skip meal 4.

No exercise also - one of my meetings ran over lunch:-(

  • Meal 3: Steak and salad
  • Meal 4: Apple with peanut butter
  • Meal 5: Steak and salad with roti
  • Meal 6: Steak and wholewheat biscuit.
Had a lovely cardio HIIT workout today - burnt 120 calories in 20 minutes.

Finally! The scale has moved!!!!

I am down from 193,82 pounds to 192,06!!!!

And I thought I would be up since my week had not been as good as I had hoped!!!

The weekend didn't go too badly at all.


Something unexpected did happen and it restricted me a little, but one just has to deal with the little surprises life hands out to you.

Friday after work I went to see my GP about a boil in my neck. It was red, hot and throbbing. She told me it is a cyst and needed to be removed. We did it in her surgery. So, my plans to go for a zumba class saturday morning went out of the window as I was instructed not to do anything that involves swinging my arms around a lot as my stitches could tear.

Saturday was also halloween. Dd and I bought some treats and baked a halloween cake. I had one slice only - it was way too sweet for me. I did have some of the treats as well, but I tried to limit myself as much as possible.

Sunday I went to visit a friend. The plan was to visit her and then to go to the gym when it was nice and quiet. Only thing is I had such a great time that I didn't get to the gym - I also didn't eat much, so it worked out nicely.

So, overall, a reasonably healthy weekend.

BUT one thing that made very depressed this weekend was when I went shopping for some tracksuit pants to exercise in. I tried on a pair of jeans (I usually only wear dresses) and it looked so horrible. I usually avoid a full-length mirror and now I know why:-(
